About Me

In Brief

I help enterprises adopt AI in ways that are structured, scalable and aligned with real business value. With a background in software, architecture and delivery leadership, I focus on turning AI ambition into systems that actually work, and sharing what I learn through my newsletter, Enterprise x AI.

About Me

I help enterprises turn AI potential into real, scalable outcomes by bridging strategy, product, technology and execution. I support organisations adopt AI to reshape how they operate, deliver value and innovate at scale.

I’m Scott Cable, an AI Delivery Lead focused on building systems and capabilities that actually get used. I work across strategy, engineering and delivery to make AI practical, sustainable and impactful inside complex organisations.

Over the past few years, I’ve led the delivery of GenAI features such as document summarisation, built RAG-based internal help systems and managed enterprise-wide adoption programmes. These efforts have helped teams across core business functions bring AI into real workflows with lasting impact.

My background in software development, including co-authoring a Java book, along with practical training in AI, enables me to collaborate effectively with engineers and data scientists. I support delivery conversations and technical planning, contribute meaningfully to design discussions, work confidently with AI development environments, and help align architectural choices with business goals.

Why I Focus on Enterprise AI

I’ve spent my career helping organisations navigate complex change at the intersection of technology, product and business strategy. From building early digital systems to leading large-scale transformation programmes, I’ve seen how innovation reshapes how teams operate, deliver and make decisions.

The rise of AI represents more than a technology shift. It calls for a new way of thinking about business models, value creation and operational execution. I’m drawn to the real-world complexity of making AI work: aligning teams, translating concepts, managing risk and delivering outcomes that matter.

Enterprise x AI

Enterprise x AI brings together patterns and insights drawn from real-world examples of enterprise AI adoption. While the real-world AI examples live on my website, the newsletter is where I reflect on what they mean: identifying how AI shifts delivery models, strategy and capability. I focus on the types of adoption that move beyond experimentation, offering a clear view of how structured, coordinated AI use drives meaningful change.

What I Bring

  • AI strategy, delivery and governance
  • Cross-functional collaboration across technical, operational and leadership teams
  • Stakeholder engagement and clear communication
  • Agile and traditional programme management
  • Cloud and AI platform integration, including LLMs, RAG and summarisation
  • Risk awareness and responsible AI (GDPR, EU AI Act)

I’ve worked across sectors including financial services, life sciences, telecoms, government and other complex enterprise environments. I stay focused on making advanced technology actionable and sustainable.

How I Work

I combine technical fluency with strategic insight and a human-centred approach. I believe effective AI delivery is rooted in clear thinking, ethical foundations and collaborative execution. I help teams stay aligned and resilient, especially when navigating ambiguity and change.

I hold an MSc in Cognitive Science and an MBA focused on strategy, leadership and innovation. These foundations help me connect intelligent systems with the realities of organisational life.

Outside of Work

I’m endlessly curious. I love stumbling across new ideas and perspectives that challenge how I see the world. I enjoy reading about history, and I’m drawn to psychology as a way to better understand myself and others. I stay active through swimming, cycling and keeping up with my kids. They challenge me in the best possible way and help me stay connected to what matters.
